SNOW EMERGENCY

Mayor Gary Cirulli has declared a Snow Emergency for the Borough of Sinking Spring effective 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2026 until further notice. All vehicles parked on snow emergency routes (Columbia Ave., Mt. Home Rd., Mull Ave., Penn Ave., Shillington Rd. and Woodrow Ave.) must be removed or they will be ticketed and towed at the owners expense.

Borough residents should comply with the plowing restrictions on Borough streets after a 3″ snowfall.

***SNOW REMOVAL***

During the winter snow season, Borough employees work long hours in an effort to clear the roadways of snow and ice to make the streets safe for motorists. Please assist them in their efforts by obeying the following regulations:

Alternate Side Parking:

A. During the course of any snowfall with accumulations in excess of three inches, parking shall be prohibited on the uneven-numbered(house numbers) side of all Borough streets until such time as plowing is completed on said side of the street.

B. 24 hours following the end of the snowstorm(when the snow has stopped), parking shall be prohibited on the even-numbered(house numbers) side of all Borough streets, and on Vester Place in its entirety, until such time as plowing is completed on said streets.

Streets: No person shall shovel, push or plow snow from the sidewalk, driveway or other areas into the street.

Sidewalks: Within 24 hours after any snowfall shall have ceased or ice has formed, the owner or occupant of any premises shall clear a 30-inch path over such sidewalk and handicapped ramps.

If you have a fire hydrant on your property, please clear snow from around it so the fire company can get to it if need be.
